Refurbished Electronics
Refurbished electronics can save you hundreds of dollars. The trick is knowing which seller to trust. I randomly selected a seller from a facebook ad and ordered a refurbished chromebook. The item was listed as fair with noticeable scratches. The same chromebook was listed at walmart.com in good condition for about forty dollars more. I would consider Walmart a trusted seller as I have bought numerous items with no issues.
I waited for the Chromebook to arrive and to my surprise it shipped two days earlier than estimated. The box would reveal an unwanted surprise as well. Fair condition also means a cracked case. This is the risk you take when your goal is to save hundreds over the purchase of a new Chromebook. In this case the savings were only about forty dollars from another refurbished seller I mentioned above. Can I still use this Chromebook to show photos to my clients? Sure, I can, but a heads up to the damage to the case in the description would have steered me to a different product.
In closing I will contact the seller and find out their return policy and I personally recommend saving money and buying refurbished electronics even with my purchase failure. I do highly recommend refurbished electronics as a way to save money and keep the recycle option alive. Happy shopping 🙂
